Development of an Innovative IoT-Assisted Smart Plastic Collector for Real-Time Street Waste Management

Abstract

 In many places, plastic litter on the streets has grown to be a serious environmental issue. When plastic items like bottles, bags, and packaging are disposed of improperly, it can cause pollution, clog drainage systems, and endanger wildlife. Conventional rubbish collection techniques may not be effective for keeping streets clean because they mostly rely on manual labor and sporadic cleaning. The Development of an Innovative IoT-Assisted Smart Plastic Collector for Real-Time Street Waste Management is the main goal of this work. The system uses Internet of Things (IoT) technology to autonomously gather plastic waste and track the condition of the collection container. A monitoring system receives real-time data from sensors that determine the amount of plastic garbage within the collector.
