Success for Startups in Emerging Entrepreneurial Ecosystems

Abstract
The Purpose of this study is to find out what makes startups successful in places like Chhattisgarh. These areas are what we call emerging ecosystems, and they have a lot of challenges such as not having enough money, bad infrastructure, strict rules and not enough support. The goal of this study is to find the things that make startups successful. This is important because India has a lot of startups over 100,000Ninety percent of them go out of business within five years. Some regions- Bangalore and Maharashtra, for instance- are the ones in greater need. The Startup Policy 2025-30 in Chhattisgarh is trying to make innovation and jobs happen. The Design and Methodology of this study used a mix of approaches. We looked at over 50 research papers to understand what is happening globally and in India. We also studied startups in Chhattisgarh, including CHESS 2025. Talked to 20 entrepreneurs and experts. We put all the information into groups like the skills of the founders, money and support systems. Used simple analysis to find the key things that make startups successful. The Findings of this study show that strong leadership is the important thing. Successful founders have clear vision, determination, and strong networking abilities. Other important things include having a team getting money early on and making something that people really need. The government can also help by making policies and providing incubators. Things like the internet and transportation are especially important in emerging regions. Most successful startups highlighted leadership and early funding as major success factors and got money early on while the ones that failed did not plan well and did not understand the market. The Suggestions from this study are that startups should build teams try out their ideas early and talk to mentors and investors. The government should give tax benefits, money. Make it easy to start a business. Investors should help startups that are just starting out. Incubators should guide startups. Help them get to the market. Everyone should work together to solve problems and track progress. The Implications of this study are that it can help entrepreneurs, policymakers and investors make decisions. It can help make startup ecosystems create jobs innovate and grow the economy in developing regions and reduce the number of people moving to big cities.
